Each candle holder base has a border of oak leaves surround it, the pattern is on the top and bottom edge of each candle base.  The candle holder bases are dishwasher safe.

Small candle base:  2 3/8" diameter 1/2" tall (center is 1 1/2" diameter - flat area)
Medium cande base:  4" diameter 1/2" tall (center is 2 1/2" diameter - flat area)
Large candle base:  4 3/4 diameter 3/4" tall (center is 3" diameter - flat area)

They can also be used as a spoon rest or desk catch all.
