This ceramic wooden well bucket is a ceramic plant tender or aqua spike. Plant tenders or aqua spikes are used to help keep moisture in the soil of outdoor container gardens or indoor house plants. They are designed to keep plants watered without the need for constant attention and help avoid overwatering, a common problem with house plants. Using a plant tender is easy, simply insert the spike into the soil and fill the reservoir with water, refill when dry. The water in the reservoir is absorbed through the cone keeping the soil moist surrounding the plant.

Dimensions:
4 1/4" tall overall X 1 7/8" diameter
Drainage spike that is inserted into the soil is approx. 2 1/2" long.

This plant tender is made of hand cast with clay slip and fired in my kiln. Each piece is glazed by hand and fired in my kiln a second time. All glaze used is non-toxic. Made in the USA.
