Magnetic needle holders or keepers are also known as magnetic needle minders, magnetic needle nabbers or nannys. These holders are used by quilters, seamstresses, crafters and those that do hand work or needlework such as cross stitch, embroidery, needlepoint or crewel, to name a few. Take yours to the next stitching or quilting retreat you attend, great for gift giving too.
How does it work, you ask?
A magnet is attached to the back of the ceramic clay shape, a second magnet is used on the back of the fabric piece to keep the needle holder in place. The magnetic needle keeper will help hold your needle or pins in one place on your project. You can also use them on your clothing to help you keep track of the pins and needles. They work great with projects that are on stretcher or hoop frames too. You can also use a magnetic needle holder next to your sewing machine to help keep straight pins and needles in one place.
Each magnetic needle holder is hand made. Every holder starts from a lump of clay. The design is hand cut, kiln fired, all detail is hand painted. Each piece is glazed so it is smooth and the detail will not wash off, fade or peel.
Magnetic needle minders make great gifts, they can also be used as refrigerator magnets.
Notice: Please use caution when using items with magnets that may interfere with medical devices or computers or other devices. Please consult your physician if you have questions. Keep out of reach of children.
