About Us

Welcome to Texas Hill Country Ceramics & Gifts.  THCC is a cottage business owned and operated by Jacque Honeycutt, it is a registered business in the state of Texas established in 2004.   The studio is located in Central Texas about 40 miles west of Austin.   Due to the rural location the studio is not open to the public.

Jacque has a passion for making and collecting ceramic decor especially different styles of tea bag holder and spoon rests. After finding only "run of the mill" teapot style teabag caddys with decal designs she started making her own creations with clay. One thing led to another and she began a quest to find as many unusual spoon rest or tea bag holder molds as she could.   To date she has one of the largest collections known in the Lone Star State.  As any ceramicist will tell you, you cannot stop with just a few molds, so she started adding coordinating accessories to compliment many styles of tea bag holders. Jacque creates a variety of ceramics that compliment many areas of the home, kitchen, bath, office, garden and patio.

Jacque was introduced to the world of ceramics by her parents.  Coming from a family of crafters she was taught at an early age how to sew (another passion), knit, crochet and draw. Not long after her introduction to the world of ceramics she had the opportunity to attend classes and seminars and learned all she could from the best in the field.  She continues with her education keeping up to date with the latest products and techniques.  She is also a certified instructor for Mayco Colors.

Another love Jacque has is the wildflowers that bloom in the Texas Hill Country every spring. Her favorite flower is the Texas Bluebonnet. Now you can enjoy the beautiful bluebonnet wildflowers all year long. Jacque has created an extensive line of functional kitchenware and decorative accents with hand painted wildflowers. All of the ceramic earthenware pottery you see here is made by Jacque so quantities are limited.  Please Note: Variations are to be expected as part of the charm of the handmade piece.
