Product Description
This alligator is a plant tender or hydro spike. Made of ceramic clay plant tenders help keep flower garden containers or potted house plants watered without constant attention and help avoid overwatering. Plant tenders also help keep plants watered while away. To use simply insert the cone shape spike into the soil and fill the reservoir with water. The soil absorbs the water through the porous stake, just fill the reservoir when needed.
Dimensions are:
- 5 1/2 inches Tall
- 2 inches wide
- 2 1/2 inches deep
- holds approximately 3 ounces of water
This plant tender is made of hand cast domestic clay slip and fired in my kiln. Each piece is glazed by hand and fired in my kiln a second time. All glaze used is lead free, due to the type of glaze used each alligator has its own individual characteristics and color variations are common.
