This skull tea bag holder or tea caddy is made of slip cast ceramics.  Each piece is hand cast using a plaster mold for uniformity and kiln fired.   Each is finished with a non-toxic lead free glaze.  Opaque glazes evenly cover the surface of a piece with solid coloring.  Opaque glazes produce a rich glossy finish.  As an opaque glaze matures during the kiln firing it flows over the entire piece giving it a smooth shiny finish.  This type of glaze is dishwasher safe and food safe.
