Product Description
This Day of the Dead skull plate can be used as a large spoon rest, tableware serving tray, decorative snack dish or catch all on a dresser or entry table, it is made of solid cast ceramic earthenware. The skull plate is very detailed not only in shape but also with features, the detail shows various facial bones that create recessed areas and definition. The colorful folk art design on this Day of the Dead tray is my original design and coordinates with other pieces I have created.
Each of the Day of the Dead skull plate is made of slip cast ceramic earthenware using a plaster mold for uniformity. Each plate is individually hand cast in my studio and kiln fired a minimum of 2 times. For added durability I cast each plate solid, it is weighty and very strong. This skull plate is finished with non toxic underglaze colors, the colorful folk art design is sealed under a lead free clear glaze that has been applied with a brush.
This skull plate or snack dish is just one of many ceramic Day of the Dead skull items I have created. Pair up this snack plate with my skull cup for a perfect set.

The ceramic sugar skull plate or spoon rest measures:
- 6 ½ inches long
- 5 inches wide
- ¾ of a inch high.
- The outer edge of the tray is slightly curved and will help keep items containted.
- This plate or tray is dishwasher safe.
